The African Cultural Foundation Wien is proud to be guided by a diverse and dynamic Board of Directors, made up of organizations and individuals who have been shaping Black community life, culture, and activism in Austria for many years.

Our Board reflects what drives us: representation, empowerment, and solidarity. It brings together community leaders, cultural initiatives, and activists from across Austria’s African diaspora and beyond. Together, they provide vision, experience, and the networks needed to strengthen our mission.

From grassroots organizations like ADOE, Seti Sisters, and Black Voices, to cultural platforms such as Afrieurotext and Fresh Vibes, and to individual changemakers like Mireille Ngosso, Miriam Mona Mukalazi, and Adaora Ofoedu – our Board stands for the richness and diversity of Black voices in Austria.

With their leadership, we are building a stronger, more inclusive foundation for the future.

Ifeoma Melissa Ofoedu, M.A.

Ifeoma Melissa Ofoedu is a co-founder of the African Cultural Foundation Wien. With a background in economics and development studies, she works to amplify the voices of the African diaspora in Austria through cultural programming and collaborations.

Adaora Ofoedu

Adaora Ofoedu is a Nigerian-Austrian activist, educator, and community organizer. She is the co-founder of the Schwarze Frauen Community (Black Women’s Community) in Austria and a co-founder of the African Cultural Foundation Wien.

Afrieurotext (Daniel Bitouh)

More than a publishing house: Afrieurotext is a hub for African literature, postcolonial debates, and educational projects – from Vienna to Cameroon.

Member)

Researcher, activist, and cultural worker. She connects gender, climate, and diversity, bringing feminist perspectives into international politics and climate strategies.

A platform for education and empowerment within the African diaspora. ADOE creates safe spaces for exchange, organizes community meetups and workshops – and empowers the next generation.

The radio platform freshVibes has been bringing Black voices into Austrian media since 2019 – with music, culture, and political discussions.

Seti Crew (Hawa Kebe)

A network that makes African women in Vienna visible and supports them. Through mentoring, training, and cultural work, the Seti Sisters set new standards for empowerment.

Dr. Mireille Ngosso (Individual Member)

Doctor, politician, and activist. As the organizer of Austria’s largest BLM demonstration in 2020, she made history – and today she fights for justice and representation in Vienna’s city council.
