Cooking & Sharing Generational Knowledge 

In 2025, we also successfully launched our first Afro Cooking Workshop at District Living in Vienna’s 22nd district, which quickly became a popular community event. Participants had the opportunity to prepare traditional Nigerian dishes under the guidance of a community “Granny,” celebrating intergenerational knowledge and culinary heritage.

Each participant received a recipe booklet and spice box, allowing them to bring the experience home, and proceeds from the workshop supported social initiatives such as our Yes She Can mentoring programme. The event highlighted cultural pride, hands-on learning, and community connection through shared meals.
