In the European Union only 30% of people active in politics and media/communication professions are women. Of these 36.6 % female parliamentarians in Austria, only 5 % are BIPOC women and girls BIPOC.

 

A similar picture emerges in the field of media and communication/informatics, with the increasing importance of the digital information sector showing that BIPOC women and girls in particular have problems gaining access. In Austria, less than 2% of the people working in the information sector are BIPOC women and girls.

 

 

 

Through a targeted 1-year mentoring programme, BIPOC women and girls receive training and career development through numerous networking activities and 1:1 advice from BIPOC experts in the sectors of Politics, Media & Communication.
