The Challenge
Preserving African cultural heritage is crucial for people of African descent in the Diaspora and Africa.

The festival is proof of a successful cultural exchange between Austrians and people of african descent. Cultural points are successfully underlined every year with a political and media program.
An important accompanying event of the festival is the dialogue program, which takes place every year before the festival and addresses a wide variety of topics. In order to improve the quality of life and the understanding of people of African descent in Austria, the association afriCult and African Cultural Foundation organize the African Cultural Festival once a year. The African Literature Days
The possibility to make African literature accessible to a broad audience in Austria strengthens national identity in the countries concerned and to promote cultural exchange in this country.
