Bewirb dich jetzt "Yes She Can" 2025

In 2025, the Foundation launched its NIA Empowerment Space Artist Residency in Vienna, offering free studio space, professional visibility, and community engagement for six emerging BIPOC artists. The residency provides a platform for artists across disciplines — visual arts, literature, performance, and multimedia — to develop their work in a supportive, collaborative environment.

This initiative underscores ACF’s commitment to creating accessible, inclusive, and free spaces for emerging talent, particularly from underrepresented communities. Residents not only gain practical resources and mentorship but also opportunities to connect with local audiences, peers, and cultural networks, fostering long-term career growth.

Through these efforts, ACF has helped cultivate a dynamic generation of young African authors and artists eager to share their education, experiences, and creative perspectives shaped by life in 21st-century Africa. By bridging cultural, generational, and disciplinary divides, the residency reinforces the Foundation’s mission to empower creatives and amplify African voices in Europe.
